You have to realize you are the head of your own enterprise. That enterprise is you. Even if you have a job, you are still the CEO of yourself. It doesn't matter if you work for an organization big or small you are the CEO of your life, your branding, and you make CEO decisions about the enterprise of YOU; every day. You decide where and when to invest your time, talents, skills, and abilities. Once you fully realize the position you hold and the power that comes with it, it is life-changing.
You are also the CEO of your time. You choose how you will spend that time. It could be learning, reading, building a new skill, anything that creates a new asset. In comparison, others may spend their time watching Netflix, playing video games, or scrolling through social media. Both can provide you with a happy life (I'm cringing as I say that because it goes against all the research, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.) This is your time, and the question is what you will do with it. But as the CEO of your career, one of two pays bigger dividends.
