It’s Okay to Be off Balance
Nothing is ever truly in balance—just ask any Ph.D. in Quantum physics. So if the earth and the universe are constantly changing and in motion, why do we expect that we can create a life that has balance?
But don’t worry; we CAN learn to live differently. In 2017, I have decided to embrace the imbalanced lifestyle, realizing that important things can happen when I am at extreme spectrums. For example, when I wrote my dissertation I was so off-balance I could barely stand up. At the same time, my wife and I adopted two children, which threw things even further off-kilter!
To accomplish what you really want in 2017 you may have to tip the scales in your life. When you focus on something you really want to accomplish, other areas of your life will naturally suffer for a while. Just make sure you come back and tip the scale the other way so you don’t make your friends and loved ones angry!
Remember that something will always be undone at the end of the day, week, month, year….and at the end of your life. Get used to that feeling of being off-balance, it will be one less thing to worry and fret over this year.
